Time

Today I met a friend who like me loves handcraft work.

We exchanged some ideas and technic about "Button Masala", I learned a month ago in the workshop from designer Anuj Sharma, very friendly, organized via the inspiring project "Textiel Factorij".

There is lots of textiel prints technic in India that are slowly disappearing. Fine that the "Textiel factorij" project connects new and old together. It made me curious about all the old Japanese textiel technic, there is so many interesting creative handcraft works.

In a time when most of us are busy living in this rush speed, handcraft is a luxury activity for grandmothers without grandchildren to babysit.

For designers, who gets paid for it.

I would love to learn bordure with a grandma or a neighbor, or a friend.

But nowadays, there is less people around with some handcraft skills.

Lucky but lonely, there is lots of information online or in books.

It costs time to learn, to try out, to practice.

I wish I had more time to learn, bordure, kilt, textiel hand work.

To get in the "flow" of doing something so well like to play an instrument of music, and enjoy it without much worry about the technic.

Time to play. I miss it.
