Books & film

Yesterday I saw a film called "Okja" from Bong Joon-ho. Show what already is happening with cows, pigs, genetic manipulated animals in the meat industry and the contrast with our love for animal.

Sadness and a knot in my throat.

Slowly I am becoming more vegetarian, no pigs meat, almost no cheese, much less red meat.

Next, how are we going to live with human clones?

In the first "Blade Runner" sciencefictionfilm, from 1982, 36 years ago, Ridley Scott reveals this thema in sensitive scenes.

How far in this direction are we going?

I am reading the book "Sapiens" from Yuval Noah Harari, he tells in a very interesting way, how humans develop the course of history.

"The eight Montains" from Paolo Cognetti, beautiful written story about friendship and small farm life disappearing.

Last Summer I read a very intriguing book "Soulmates" from Deepak Chopra, about life, love and psyche.

All incredible books, there are so many stories about people's life, but so little about other animals, apart from scientific animal books and tv documentaries.

There is an impressive beautifully filmed sea life documentary "Blue Planet II" from BBC, how much we do not know about the wonder around us...

We would be wiser when we learn more how other animals experience life and pay more attention to their stories.
