Aurora

More than 2000 visitors came to our kinetic sculptures exhibition at NDSM Fuse, in Amsterdam, https://www.ndsm-fuse.nl, photographing, video making, interacting, trying out different displays of Coexistence model.

It was quite an experience! nice talking with some visitors, touching reactions, thank you all!

Sculptures are beter seen, photography shows only a fragment of it, video gives a glimpse of...

Our Aurora during the day light, end of afternoon, in the dark of night, showed her transparent green light dimming brighter.

Coexistence, the model was made, proposed for the Amsterdam Light festival 2017, combined with light stream. We discovered more than 10 other ways to display it, and children even more... We presented this sculpture in 3 sizes placed in each other, movement in synchrony for a second... Coexistence was a pop star in this exhibition!

DNA en Open Infinit were turning discs.

Bloem or Flower turning with the wind produced color puzzels.

Butterfly Effect somewhere something changes because of what we do now.

In such a fragile tiny being… a fake eye on its butterfly wings, a “mask” to frighten predators away … the wild animal view… watching human made interventions consequent effects. Whenever we allow, flapping wings… are we schaking heavy rust roof above us away?

Druppel or Drop, in a sleepless night, while in a half state of dream I see water drop rings...

WDM circles, After Frank has made wooden crates for to transport 20 long bars sculpture from artist WDM, it was many useless wooden circles left… our sculpture is made from recycled material and metal.

Double, from the Infinite serie of drawings, we saw different 3D interpretations of the same sketch. Frank’s interpretation became Double the model of the Turn around 10 times bigger.

Schelp or Shell, From NDSM open call 2018, we proposed this model to be made in an interactive big dimension. It was not chosen... next time, perhaps.

Between 2D and 3D exploration, wall sculptures or panels, Close light and Open Shadow.

The reflection of the "light" coming through a plant painted on the "closed" folded paper panel and the "shadow" from the light coming through a plant on the "open" folded paper panel.

I enjoy this complementary combination...

Convergence, when I came back after a long travel, where I used to live in Brazil, unfortunately one of my favorite wooden panel had disappeared. Years later, this beautiful peace of massive wood with a crack was perfect for to make a new panel variation where all the lines converge together.

Infinit variation 1, 2, 3 and Connection, from sketches of folded paper infinite forms to wooden panels.

Frank and I are happy to have invested for this realization!

Yet, sketches are accumulated in my drawer, waiting for to be awaken... peaces of new ideas springing in my head to be formed... versus time, finance, space...
